While several other titles on this list have or plan to have mobile versions, the free-to-play SolForge feels like it was crafted for mobile from the ground up. StoneBlade Entertainment’s follow-up to board game sensation Ascension is a solid DCG offering, and possibly the best experience currently available when it comes to mobile play. We’ll be monitoring progress on this one carefully. It’s out there, it’s being played, and it’s going to be viewed relative to the rest of the market. We’re confident that HEX has a bright future as many major elements and features of the game have yet to even be touched upon, but there’s only so much that the claim of “It’s just alpha” can do. The current version of the game probably has little resemblance to a finished product, but putting it out in the world at this stage of development may have not been the best way to showcase the game's potential.

When Faeria finally launches, the issue of discoverability will factor heavily. With many months to go before release, the small team behind Faeria has a lot to handle, including bringing the title off its current web-based version and onto a Unity client. This buy-to-play strategy DCG title from Belgian indie Abrakam has a lot to offer alongside some serious hurdles.
